This guidelines aims to raise awareness on how to plant, protect and manage the mangroves along coastal areas. This guidelines also promotes multiple benefits from mangrove plantation such as income generation, livelihood, dyke protection purpose and risk reduction.
This booklet can be used as an introduction to the cash transfer in emergencies of the Viet Nam Red Cross Society (VNRC). This is not a technical guidance. The purpose of the booklet is to increase the awareness and general knowledge of cash transfer programming.

The “Assessment of the effectiveness of using household (HH) kit in relief activities of the VNRC” aims to: Assess the effectiveness of HH kit used by VNRC in relief activities in recent years, which focus on assessing the relevance of the relief items in the HH kit and distribution method; and propose adjustments for using HH kit in the relief activities by VNRC in Vietnam in the near future, which define the structure and form of relief items, HH kit container and distribution method.

The case study highlights the importance of community engagement in cash transfer programming, and it showed the success story of doing so in the cash transfer programming in Typhoon Wutip and Nari operations which the central provinces of Viet Nam in October 2013.
To improve preparedness in cash transfer programming, a review was conducted in 2015 to capture best practices in beneficiary targeting and impact stories. This initiative provided an opportunity for community members and local authorities to raise their voice and concerns about the process.
