Purpose: The brochure is aimed to equip volunteers and youth with necessary information on becoming a volunteers in a disaster response and recovery program of the Philippines Red Cross in order to facilitate response and recovery efforts before, during and after disaster incidents.

Overview: The document covers information on things a Red Cross volunteers can do at the advent of disaster incidents and special teams with area of responsibility to work on:

• Before: Predict, Plan, Prepare and Practice
• During and after: Cope and Mitigate, Rescue and Retrieve, Relief, Recover and Rehabilitate
• Special working teams such as: communication, health and safety, blood, needs assessment, social services, documentation, logistics, beneficiary identification, medical, emergency rescue, repackaging, water and sanitation, operations center and relief distribution
