Purpose: The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is made between Cambodia Red Cross and Cambodian National Committee for Disaster Management and aims to be establish a formal working relationship between the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) and the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) to promote the collaboration between NCDM and CRC on the field of Disaster Management (DM) within and outside the country, and provided as a guidance for good practices of the two organizations in supporting sustainable networks and partnership that advocate for preparedness and disaster mitigation program.

Overview:  The MOU is part of the package of document including “The Principles and basic Rules of Cambodian Red Cross in Disaster relief”; “Disaster Preparedness Policy”; “Emergency Response Policy”;”Standard Operating procedures for Cambodian Red Cross Disaster Response Team”. It includes two main chapters:

  • Introduction, Background and Purposes
  • Cooperation and Coordination: consisting shared perspectives and coopeartion in specific activities
  • Implementation: consisting Agenda, Points of Contact and Notification
  • Legal Authority
  • Publication and Release of Information

Usage: Guidance for project implementation

Audience: National Society Leadership, Technical staff, Communication Staff.
