Purpose: This program aims at building safer and more resilient community through reducing underlying factor of the vulnerability that disaster prone communities are facing and this will be done in different forms of interventions, especially at community level in order to ensure that community are able to prepare for, response to and reducing impact of disaster that may occur.

Overview: Lao Red Cross recognizes the importance of the spirit of volunteerism and the need for a specific type of volunteer in the event of an emergency. This guideline provides procedures to guide the volunteer selection process and communicate their role in order to ensure that the process is one accordingly and volunteer is understanding of the job they do under the CBDRR program.
