Purpose: The document provides case study of Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) from its experiences in its community based preparedness and response programme during Giri Cyclone in 2010.
Overview: The document outlines MRCS ‘s implementation of community based disaster risk management programme (CBDRM) in Rakhine state since 2009 with a view to increasing the safety and resilience of vulnerable local communities. Main contents include:
