Purpose: This document aims to provide basic information about Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the roles and responsibility of volunteers, skills and steps of implementation in case of injury prevention and first aid assistance relating to other accidents.

Overview: The document outlines three main parts:

• Part 1: Introduction about Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, Vietnam Red Cross, the role of volunteers: its seven principles, origin and history, emblems and structure, Vietnam Red Cross and also the role and responsibiliy of volunteers
• Part 2: First aid techniques on safe transportation, cases of unconsciousness, aspiratory problem and bleeding, accidents
• Part 3: Other kinds of accidents: burn, electric shock, drowning, food poisoning, animal-stinged injuries.
