Three Emergency Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) specialised trainings were conducted on  5-12 February 2017 in Prey Veng province, Cambodia with an aim to enhance the capacity of the National Society for emergency WASH response in future. There were a total of 88 participants including staff and volunteers from the National Headquater and the chapters in three provinces (Svay Rieng, Bantey Mean Chey and Prey Veng) and also three staff from the Swiss Red Cross and provincial staff such as fire brigade personnel.

Two trainings on the use of emergency hygiene promotion (HP) box were also conducted, participated by 18 Red Cross volunteers and staff from NHQ and Prey Veng province. The participants were trained on proper usage of the items in the HP box during emergencies. These HP boxes are now pre-positioned at the provincial level and NHQ, together with the two units of Man Packs procured under the pledge.
